You are invited to join us at our first consultation events where we will be discussing the concept of the planned redevelopment.

First Base held an initial round of consultation events on the concept for the Soapworks site in July 2019.

The information that was displayed at the exhibition can be found here.

First Base is now consulting on the detailed proposals for the site and will be holding two consultation events which will allow local residents and interested parties to view the proposals and to provide their feedback on the plans. Members of the project team will also be on hand to answers any questions relating to the site’s redevelopment.

You are invited to our consultation events, which be held:

On: Tuesday 22nd October 2019

From: 3.00pm – 7.30pm

At: Gardiner Haskins new premises, 1 Straight Street, Broad Plain, Bristol, BS2 0FQ

On: Saturday 26th October 2019

From: 10.00am – 3.00pm

Following these events, First Base will thoroughly review the feedback that has been provided and, where possible, seek to incorporate this into the development as we prepare our planning application, which will be submitted later this year.

The building wears the story of its shared life with Bristol.

BUILT AS A SOAPWORKS, the building became A WAREHOUSE FOR THE GARDINER FAMILY and survived BOMBING DURING WW2 and A SIGNIFICANT FIRE. The Listed building will remain at the heart of the new proposals for the site.
